Agricultural Local Automation and Sensor Linkage

Zhenming combines supported relay controllers with RS485 environmental sensors so downloaded threshold rules execute directly at the field controller. Sensor reading, rule evaluation and output control no longer need a cloud round trip, while the platform remains available for configuration, state, logs and remote maintenance.

On-device RulesThe supported controller performs sensor reading, threshold evaluation and output action.
No Cloud Round TripDownloaded rules remain in the field execution loop when the external network is unavailable.
High and Low ThresholdsDifferent actions can be mapped to upper and lower thresholds for stable control.
Platform VisibilityConfiguration, status, remote operation and linkage logs remain available online.

How Local Linkage Works

Configuration and real-time execution are separated. The platform prepares the rule; the supported field controller executes it.

1. ConfigureSelect sensor address and value, set upper/lower thresholds, and map output actions.
2. DownloadSend the approved rule to a controller whose hardware and firmware support local sensor automation.
3. SenseThe controller scans the connected RS485 sensor over the field bus.
4. Decide and ActThe controller evaluates the threshold and drives the configured relay output directly.
5. RecordWhen online, state and linkage logs support remote review and maintenance.

Local Execution Compared with Cloud-only Linkage

ItemZhenming Local ExecutionCloud-only Linkage
Real-time pathSensor → RS485 → controller decision → relay outputSensor upload → cloud rule → control command → field device
External network dependencyDownloaded local rules do not require an external-network round tripReal-time action normally needs the device and cloud service to remain connected
Field responseDecision and output remain in the controllerResponse also includes network and platform processing

Agricultural Application Strategies

Greenhouse Climate ControlTemperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and illuminance data can drive ventilation, heating, misting, shading and lighting actions.
Irrigation Protection and ControlSoil moisture, level, pressure and rain signals can be combined with pumps and valves for irrigation, low-level protection and rain-stop logic.
Livestock VentilationTemperature, humidity, ammonia and carbon dioxide values can trigger primary and backup fans, cooling pads, dehumidification or local alarms.
Multi-threshold ActionsUpper and lower thresholds can map different output combinations so equipment starts and stops across a stable control range.

Greenhouse Automation

A local controller connects sensing with ventilation, heating and misting equipment, while the platform supports settings and visibility.

Field Bus and Controller Output

The multi-function sensor connects to the supported controller through RS485. The controller output then drives the matched field circuit. Product and load selection must follow the selected model and the actual pump, fan, lamp, valve or contactor.

Selection Boundary

Local sensor automation is not declared for every relay model. Confirm controller hardware, firmware, sensor address and data mapping, output channel, load type, safety chain and manual override for each project. Local automation does not replace motor protection, electrical interlocks or other required field safety devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the linkage depend on continuous Internet access? No cloud round trip is required after a supported controller has received the rule. The controller reads the RS485 sensor, evaluates the threshold and drives the configured output on site. The local RS485 and control wiring must remain available.
What is the role of the platform? The platform is used to configure high and low thresholds, map output actions, review device state and inspect linkage logs. It also supports remote operation and maintenance when the network is available.
Which agricultural objects can be controlled?Typical objects include ventilation fans, pumps, valves, heating lamps, misting or humidification equipment, shading and local alarm devices. Selection follows the load type, circuit count and site wiring.
Can every Zhenming relay controller use this local sensor logic? No. Local sensor automation must be supported by the selected controller hardware and firmware. ZMRL QCL series, ZMRN0808-QC8 and matching ZMSRCTH sensor combinations are the primary public selection path for this solution.
Can the system retain remote management?Yes. Local execution handles time-critical field actions, while the platform can retain configuration, status, logs, remote control and project operations without being placed in the real-time control loop.
