Livestock Environment Monitoring and Equipment Control
This solution connects gas sensors, environmental monitoring, fan and cooling pad control, weighing systems, smart meters and IoT platform functions for livestock sites.
Gas and environment sensingAmmonia, methane, temperature, humidity, differential pressure and sound data can be collected for barn environment visibility.
Fan, cooling pad and lighting controlRelay controllers and IO modules can support remote switching, local linkage and grouped operation strategies.
Platform operationData upload, curves, alarms, equipment status and maintenance records help farms manage distributed devices.
Product Combination
Controllers handle switching and linkage, sensors provide field data, meters collect energy information, gateways handle communication access, and the IoT platform supports schedules, alarms, logs and remote maintenance.
Projects can normally start from key control circuits, sensor points or meter circuits, then expand by area, equipment group or management workflow.
Can existing equipment be connected?
Existing devices can be connected when suitable IO, relay, RS485, Ethernet, 4G, sensor or meter interfaces are available.
Does the solution support private deployment?
Private deployment can be planned according to project scale, network conditions, data ownership and maintenance requirements.
Application design and operating strategy
01
Build environmental points around barns and production units
Organize optional temperature, humidity, ammonia, carbon dioxide, methane, differential-pressure and sound measurements by barn, area and equipment group. Position points around animal areas, airflow paths and equipment rather than treating a local reading as the whole building. Present sensor and equipment status together so staff can connect environmental changes, alarms and communications issues.

02
Map local rules to ventilation and cooling equipment
Controllers supporting local automation read RS485 sensors and execute synchronized high/low-threshold rules for fans, cooling pads, pumps, heating or alarms. Hysteresis reduces repeated switching, and named outputs retain manual takeover and existing equipment protection. The platform manages configuration, status and logs; production stage, outdoor conditions and minimum ventilation needs shape the field operating plan.

03
Bring feed inventory, environment and energy into one site model
Silo weighing provides inventory and loading/unloading records, environmental sensors show barn conditions, and meters capture ventilation, heating, feeding-line and lighting consumption. Align these sources by farm and barn to support replenishment, equipment review and inspection against production periods. Keep each system’s units and responsibilities clear while groups and permissions support centralized operation across farms.
Selection questions
Are ammonia, methane and differential pressure always included?
No. Measurements are selected through sensor and project configuration around ventilation, gas conditions, air filtration and barn management.
How is environmental control arranged during a network outage?
On models supporting local rules, synchronized logic can continue while field power and the bus remain operational. Central status and log review resumes after connectivity returns.
